ACT Policing has seized 94 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment from a home in Dagmar Berne Street, Macgregor. The drugs have a potential street value, when mature, of $300,000.

Around 8pm last Friday (November 9) officers from Belconnen General Duties attended the house on a “check welfare” matter after reports of water flowing freely from the house into the street.

With assistance from ACT Fire and Rescue, police gained entry and saw extensive water damage to light fittings and plasterwork.

A sophisticated hydroponics set-up was then located on the upper level of the two-storey home.

No people were inside the house however, police have seized a number of items as evidence and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone who may have any information about the activity at the Dagmar Berne Street house, any persons seen at the premises, or any vehicles seen arriving or leaving the residence, are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
