13 year old girl seriously injured in Florey hit and run

ACT Policing are seeking witnesses to a hit and run that occurred early Saturday evening.

About 6pm, a 13 year-old female was walking along Kreft Street in Florey when she was hit by a silver Toyota Corolla. The young female was knocked to the ground, suffering serious injuries. The driver of the silver Toyota Corolla fled the scene without stopping.

ACT Ambulance Service attended and transported the 13-year-old female to The Canberra Hospital.

Police located the vehicle a short time later, however investigations are continuing as to the identity of the driver.

Police are calling for the driver of the car to come forward and make contact with police by attending a police station or calling 131-444.

Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may be able to identify the driver of the silver Toyota Corolla to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
