74-year-old man assaulted by two teenagers

A 74-year-old man has been assaulted by two teenagers under an underpass as he was taking a walk in Casey on Wednesday (31 July).

Around 11 am, the man was walking through a Horse Park Drive underpass towards the Casey dog park when he was assaulted by two teenage males.

The teenagers attempted to take the man’s belongings but he refused and the teenagers ran away.

Police believe there were a number of people in the area who may have witnessed this incident and are calling for those people to come forward.

Both teenagers are believed to be 15-year-old males, Caucasian and around 173cm (5’8”) tall. One was a slim build with long light brown hair and was wearing a dark grey jumper and dark grey tracksuit pants.

The other had dark brown hair and was wearing a black hoody and black pants.

Police urge anyone who witnessed this incident or with any information that could assist police to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
