ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction team are investigating the cause of a collision between a taxi and a car in Barton last night (Saturday, July 27).
At about 11pm last night, a silver Toyota Hiace taxi was approaching the intersection of Morshead Drive and Russell Drive, westbound when it collided with a white Ford Falcon sedan also travelling westbound.
The impact caused the driver of the taxi to lose control of the vehicle before it veered across a centre median island and struck a street light pole.
A 24-year-old female passenger has been taken to The Canberra Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision and who has not yet spoken with police, is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
