I’m surprised they’re still calling it that. In today’s Daily Telegraph is a picture of Greg Chappell under a signpost for the newly named Greg Chappell St in Brisbane, formerly Bogan St. Interestingly under that sign is another sign pointing to the Alan Border Fields. It never would have happened in Canberra where you have to be dead to have anything named after you.

Who would want to buy an old white iMac? That would be like buying a Pentium 4 computer these days. Good luck to the thieves palming those off.

Only way to make it difficult for a thief is to activate the firmware password, and even then there’s ways to get past it. Anything less than that and a $2 suction cup and a cheap 2.5 hard disk can dispose of any security. But even for that relatively minimal expense, you’d have to wonder what anyone wanted with white iMacs, haven’t made them since 2007.
