Wednesday night will see an enormous night at Transit Bar, as world-renowned Jet Rock’n’Rollers Guitar Wolf return to Canberra with a huge line-up in Strawberry Fist Cake, Australian Kingswood Factory, Semen & Garfuckel and The Krunchy Om-Let Experience.
The ACT National Live Music Awards will be announced this Thursday night at Smith’s Alternative, with The Ansah Brothers and Glitoris performing, then straight after it’s Soundscapes #17, featuring Millie Watson, Coolio Desgracias, Emily Fishpool and the brilliant and enigmatic devdsp – check out some of the latter’s stuff here.
‘Sparrow-Folk’ will be bringing Christmas cheer over two nights at the Street Theatre, while ‘She-Riff’ is back on this Friday, this time celebrating heavy metal women with performances from Red Sea, CHUD, and GtoA. Indie pop phenomenon Phia will be at Smith’s this Saturday, while Transit Bar hosts a huge line-up in Kirklandd, Moaning Lisa and The Ansah Brothers. And Saturday will see the long-awaited launch of art-pop wonder Pheno’s new EP ‘Dragon Year’ at The Street Theatre, with opening acts Alyx Dennison, Bonnie Stewart and Annie McKinnon.
