Police have arrested a disqualified driver who allegedly drove at a police officer after failing to stop for police in the early hours of Thursday morning (19 September).

Around 4:00 am, the man was driving a Toyota hatchback when he allegedly failed to stop for police in Gilmore. A short time later, it is alleged the man drove at a police officer before crashing into a street sign and a parked car before fleeing with the car’s lights turned off.

The 39-year-old will face the ACT Magistrates Court today charged with aggravated dangerous driving, two counts of driving while disqualified, failing to stop a motor vehicle for police and property damage.
