Police call for witnesses after jogger assaulted by two men

Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after a man was attacked while jogging in Weston on Sunday night.

Around 7:45 pm, the victim was running on a bike path near the intersection of Hindmarsh Drive and McInnes Street, Weston when he was approached by two men.

It is alleged one man demanded money from the victim before both men assaulted him.

During the assault, a cyclist approached and the victim fled the area.

Police are urging the cyclist who may have witnessed the assault, or any other witnesses, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote reference 6446070. Information can be provided anonymously.
