Is anyone interested in stopping the Belconnen Mall Red Bridge being removed for ever?
It has been of great use for decades even after being relocated due to the recent Belconnen Mall modifications.
However finally the Red Bridge is to be removed this weekend – 19/20 March 2011.
The fences have gone up and now it cannot be used by anyone.
I’m sure a variety of the Department of Immigration workers will not like to see the Red Bridge gone.
Plus those that park in the Belconnen car parks will see that when it’s gone a major inconvenience walking up through that new bus interchange rather than being able to walk across the Red Bridge into the middle of the Mall.
It was good to use with prams and trolleys but now a longer walk.
Any comments from concerned citizens regarding the lack of any consultation conducted on what the community may want?
