ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to an assault which occurred last night (Thursday, March 24) in Lyons.
About 9pm the 46-year-old victim was returning home to his unit when he was assaulted within the stairwell of Strathgordon Court by up to four males.
One of the males has struck the victim with a small metal pole, resulting in a severe laceration to the head and suspected fractures to the skull, ribs and hand. The victim is being treated at The Canberra Hospital and is in a stable condition.
The victim was unable to provide police with a description of the offenders.
