Happy holidays, Canberrans (while they last). Australia Day is upon us, and as anticipated by regular listeners, David Murtagh and Genevieve Jacobs have something to say about that.
Everyone, it seems, is fighting over what January 26 means. So, how do you define patriotism? Is waving a flag (literally or metaphorically) the only way to define your love of country?

Many listeners will be shocked, absolutely shocked, to hear that there have been preselection wrangles ahead of the October 2024 ACT election. But yes, it’s true!

And as summer draws to an end, plenty of Canberrans will still head down the coast for their long weekend. Which way will you go?
The heavily trafficked but much wider route over the Clyde (with the attendant delights of Braidwood). Or do you choose the road less travelled over Brown Mountain, with its scenic delights along the way and a pit stop at the Nimmitabel Bakery?
Mr Murtagh has firm opinions (not an entirely new development).
