Emergency services are at the scene of a crash in north Canberra, with several lanes of a main thoroughfare closed.

An ACT Emergency Services Agency (ACT ESA) spokesperson said the accident occurred at the intersection of William Hovell Drive and Bindubi Street in Molonglo Valley, just after 1 pm today (7 March).

“One patient was assessed at the scene and not transported to hospital,” they said.

“The ACT Ambulance Service, ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Policing were also at the scene.”

An ACT Policing spokesperson said Bindubi Street and several lanes of William Hovell Drive are closed, as of shortly after 3 pm.

They said the truck was still at the scene, and the road closures would be in effect until the truck and its contents could be removed.

The public have been asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route while travelling, if possible.
