Man dies in crash north of Goulburn

A passenger has died after a single-vehicle crash north of Goulburn.

NSW Police said emergency services were called to Taralga Road at Tarlo just after 1 pm on Wednesday (24 July).

“For reasons still under investigation, a white Mitsubishi and trailer left the roadway and struck a tree,” a police spokesperson said.

The spokesperson said despite the efforts of first responders, a passenger in the vehicle – who is a man believed to be aged in his 80s – was unable to be revived.

The driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Police have begun an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
