ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to the robbery of a 75-year-old man yesterday morning (Saturday, February 23).
About 9.40am, the elderly man was followed from the Commonwealth Bank ATM to the ground level Myer car park of Westfield Belconnen.
The offender threw the man to the ground and kicked him several times. The offender fled after stealing the man’s wallet.
The victim was taken to hospital, but has since been released.
The offender is described as being Aboriginal in appearance. He is about 170cm (5’7”) tall with a solid build. At the time, he was wearing a brown top, black pants and white shoes.
