Participate in Channel 9’s ‘sneak preview’ of their national IQ test
Before the telecast of The National IQ Test later this year, Channel 9 will be touring the country to find out which state is the smartest – and they need you to represent your home town in the search for Australia’s Number One. They will conduct a ‘sneak preview’ of the IQ test in the ACT on Tuesday 12th October. The test will take around 90 minutes to complete and some great prizes are up for grabs on the night! It will be a multiple choice written test, so make sure you bring a pen and a clipboard to lean on. Once you have taken the test, the results will go back to the team at Swinburne University who will collate all the data and will email you a certificate with your official IQ result.
Details are as follows:
Date: Tuesday 12th October 2010
Venue: Pavilion on Northbourne – Function Room, 242 Northbourne Ave, Dickson, ACT
Time: 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start
RSVP: Please confirm your attendance by emailing iqtest_act@nine.com.au with CONFIRMED in the subject line ASAP – limited places are available so first in best dressed!
NB: You must be 16 years of age and over.
We usually end up being the smartest state/territory anyway…

I would’ve much preferred ‘The Block’ tonight, and the little of it I saw featured a few questions based on two of their popular TV shows. Um, what junk advertising.
I will be keeping my questionable IQ to myself at all times, especially if they come here.
I was going to record it, but I couldn’t work out how to program the PVR
😉
Did anyone do this tonight? How did we fare?
I’m already signed up. Not like I have anything better to do on a Tuesday night…that, and I like being told how smart I am 😉
Surely the smartest state (wait a minute?) would be the one with the lowest turnout to this sort of drivel.

GBT IQ: 49. (everyone knows, it is always ‘c’)
Multiple choice, that’s easy! ABBAC, ABBAC, ABBAC, repeat as needed.
I remeber last time Channel Nine showed the National IQ test (2005 if I’m not mistaken) Channel Ten put The National Queer Test up against it. No prizes for guessing which won the ratings hands down.
