ACT Policing arrested a 26-year-old man after executing a search warrant at a house in Ainslie yesterday morning (April 17).
Around 9.30am officers from ACT Policing Criminal Investigations entered the house to execute the search warrant and located two people within.
During the warrant officers located and seized numerous items which had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Dickson.
At the completion of the warrant the man was arrested. As the man was being escorted to the police vehicle he struggled with officers and escaped custody.
After a short foot chase the man was apprehended and conveyed to the ACT Watch House.
The man has been charged with Theft, Damage Property and Attempt Escape Arrest of Lawful Custody.
He will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, where police will be opposing bail.
