ACT Policing is investigating a burglary at a Southside business overnight (Monday, May 13) which involved electronic keys and a silver Hyundai I30 station wagon (ACT registration YJA 52G) being stolen.
The electronic keys allow access to cash from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) and police are aware that a sum of money has already been accessed through four separate ATMs throughout Canberra, and one in Riverside Plaza in Queanbeyan.
Police have asked the public to be vigilant around ATM’s and report any suspicious behaviour.
Police are also asking any members of the public who may have seen the stolen silver Hyundai I30 station wagon not to approach it but to contact Police urgently on 131444.
Police also advise that the car may have been abandoned or the number plates changed.
Anyone who may be able to assist police with the investigation is asked to contact police on 131444. Alternatively information can be reported confidentially to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au.
