@aceofspades: I just wanted to come on and slap down Riotact’s most inept troll. Got nothing really to add on the original story other that to say if there is no arrest/charges laid over this incident, I’ll donate $1000 to the charity of Johnboy’s choice.

Court sentenced him to pay $5k to the victim and let him off the hook with a good behavior bond. Does that classify as “charges laid” lol or will you be coughing up that grand real quick?

Lol. Are you serious? Really? What the hell has our education system come to? Charges were laid, genius, hence his appearance in court. The fact you came and resurrected an old thread in an attempt to be smart and failed in such spectacular fashion is highly amusing. Thanks for the laugh.

It is nice to be right, but I won’t stay here and gloat.

hahaha fair enough, I did walk into that one. I’m not stupid I promise 🙁

I guess what I meant to say was, what a pitiful judgement. Can I say that without a degree? hehe

$5k won’t even cover the dental costs. What an insult to the poor taxi driver.
Maybe next time he’ll punch a magistrate instead.

Hmm it seems like Special Magistrate Lunney is emulating the Chief Justice’s style of sentencing. He’ll go far with that approach, all the way to the top perhaps?

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing on the news. A three-month jail sentence SUSPENDED, and reparation of only $5,000 for a taxi driver who lost four teeth and hasn’t been able to work since the attack. The community should be taking taxi driver safety seriously – and this slap on the wrist will not help. Which incompetent beak did this?

Was the alleged offender the one pictured on the left? Because if it was, I think it’s a bit rich of him to be telling anyone to piss off to their own country.

I’d be willing to bet that the moment one of these dribbling meat sacks did the same to a judge, it’d be unlikely they’d get bail.

But I do feel sorry for the perp, he’s got the intelligence and social skills of a toddler. If only he could read though..

Not sure whether to laugh at you, feel sorry for you, or just let your stupidity speak for itself. I guess I can do all three. Your comments – not just the one quoted, but every one – show the intellect and emotional maturity of a six year old telling bum jokes. If you want to hang with the adults, maybe start acting like one; until then, you just keep up your high-rep barbell curls in the squat rack and talking on your phone between sets, while giving useless advice to your out of shape ‘clients’.

On the plus side, you’re the toughest internet hard man I’ve come across this week, an accolade which probably dwarfs anything you achieve in the real world.

Flame of the week nomination for sure 🙂

A man who allegedly punched out the front teeth of a Bangladeshi taxi driver told him to “piss off back to your own country” before the attack.

Michael Liam Jackson, 31, appeared in court on Thursday charged with repeatedly punching the taxi driver in the face, knocking out three teeth and dislodging another outside a home in Forde late on Saturday February 16.

The alleged bashing followed a dispute over money, and after Jackson became angry because his friends were not taken to McDonalds on the way home from Rydges Lakeside Hotel in the city.
The defendant was part of a group of eight passengers who tried to get into 54-year-old Mohammad Hussain’s taxi from Rydges.

The taxi driver, who only had room for seven, refused and ordered another taxi.

When passengers were dropped off at the Forde address, Jackson allegedly became angry after a bank card was declined twice trying to pay the $65 fare.

He allegedly threw some money at the driver, told him to take it and “piss off back to your own country”.
Another friend paid the rest of the fare, the court heard.

But a minute later Jackson re-emerged and walked up to Mr Hussain’s taxi, the court heard.
He allegedly abused the taxi driver for not taking his friends to McDonalds.

Jackson then landed a series of strong blows to the right side of the Mr Hussain’s face, it will be alleged.
The assault left Mr Hussain in hospital and he has previously told Fairfax Media his future dental work could cost up to $26,000.

The court heard the incident had been captured on CCTV.

Jackson is charged with recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm and was granted bail on Thursday.
