Belco crime spree

ACT Policing is seeking witnesses to two aggravated robberies that occurred last night (Sunday, 23 September).

Around 7pm, a man entered the 5 Star Handymart in Scullin carrying a blade and threatened staff to hand over money from the till. The staff member complied with the demand and handed over a sum of cash.

The offender is described as Caucasian, around 5’11” (180cm) tall, about 70kg and a skinny build. He was wearing a dark hooded jumper and a black scarf tied around his face.

Around 9.10pm later that evening, another aggravated robbery occurred at the Hawker KFC. A man entered the store carrying a blade and demanded cash from staff members. The offender is described as Caucasian, about 6” tall (182cm). He was wearing a dark blue knee length jacket and a black jumper around his face.

Police are urging anyone who may have information relating to these robberies to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
