Big Merino on the move

ABC Online is reporting that the big merino has tired of Goulburns bypassed charms and will be making its way closer to the bright lights of the Hume Highway.

“It’s really going to be like moving a big house. It’ll be on a large transporter. It’ll be headed out to the highway and I believe part of the median strip will have to be ripped up,” she said.

“The powerlines all the way down the highway will be cut. Country Energy … I guess they’re going to be virtually following the sheep as it progresses down the road. They’ll be reconnecting the power lines.”

Another landmark on the highway won’t hurt I suppose.

Why not under parliament house since the country was built on the sheeps back…

pardon the pun, I haven’t had coffee yet

Capital Hill? Nah, a much better place would be on top of the Aboriginal Embassy site.

I’ll have a large merino and some big pineapple juice please…but hold the Stanhope Hill dressing…

Just gaggin Thumper, I know how you feel about Lake George and all. I’ll let it go 😉

As for the eyes, that’s where the viewing platforms are and they are empty caverns. At night when they leave the lights on it is illuminated from within; it’s at this point when it legitamatly more than an eye-sore and becomes just plain creepy. Nothing a hand grenade wouldn’t fix though…

And a fUlLy s1cK sub woofer jammed up the….back.

Throw in a big block V8 and he could cruise it around Summernats.

If had enough money I’d wait until they moved it, then build an even bigger one at Exeter or something. Then it would only be the mediocre merino. For those that have seen it you’ll know it it’s already pretty f*cking mediocre in any case.

Mediocrity aside: Good on Goulburn for trying!

PS It also has creepy eyes. Thumper, do you ask the merino spirits permission to pass when you drive past? 😉

I remember hearing earlier in the year this was being planned and I vaguely thought it must be a joke.

I remember seeing something about that on WIN News, if memory serves me correctly there are some concerns about how they will get it there safely…apparently no matter what they do it will be a risk.
