Two to face court after aggravated robbery at Belconnen Mall

A man and a woman will face the ACT Magistrates Court following two aggravated burglaries at Westfield Belconnen earlier this week.

Between 7:30 pm on Monday (22 April) and 7:30 am on Tuesday (23 April), police allege the two offenders stole a safe, cash drawer and an amount of money from the Top Juice and ChaiTime stores at Westfield Belconnen.

Police investigations led to a search warrant being executed on a Belconnen residence on Tuesday afternoon. During the execution of this warrant, items stolen from the stores were located, along with several other items and property suspected of being stolen.

Police also found other property during the warrant and are continuing their inquiries.

The 27-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were arrested, and both have been charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, theft, minor theft and property damage.
