Three families have called this delightful Dickson property home over the past 30 years, and now it’s time for another to add their chapter to its story.

Surrounded by lush established gardens, 57 Wilshire Street in Dickson is a hidden gem offering privacy and great family entertaining spaces, both indoors and out.

LJ Hooker Dickson sales agent Stephen Bunday said the first open home attracted 20 parties who were impressed with the home’s flow, the amount of natural light that fills every room and, of course, the rambling gardens complete with an impressive oak tree out the front and fruit trees at the rear.

“This home is virtually hidden from the street and the established gardens offer great privacy from the neighbours,” he said.

“Whether you’re sitting out on one of the decks or entertaining friends in the kitchen and living areas, all you can see is lush greenery.”

Follow the pathway to the front door which opens to reveal a light-filled, airy home that Stephen says makes a great first impression.

“The thing that really stands out when you enter this home is you can see right through the house from the front door through the family room and kitchen and out to the back garden,” he said.

“Immediately, you can feel how well the house flows and the windows flood the home with light.

“A beautiful curved wall of window in the kitchen is unique and brings the outside in straight away.”

The four-bedroom home boasts three separate living areas, with each opening onto one of the decks.

“From a family perspective, there’s a dining room off the kitchen where the kids could do homework or have snacks after school. It’s where the family comes together to enjoy a meal and is a real hub of the home,” Stephen explained.

“There’s a loungeroom and a rumpus room area, which all have outdoor access, offering seamless transitions between the indoor living spaces and outdoor entertaining.”

Whether you’re hosting guests or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, the large rear deck provides the perfect space to do so and overlooks the private, luscious private backyard. It’s the ideal place for kids and pets to run freely.

There’s also a separate smaller deck off the kitchen, offering a tranquil place to enjoy your morning coffee.

The large kitchen is in fantastic original condition and has a timeless feel that families have loved and looked after.

“In fact, during several renovations over the years, all the owners have kept the kitchen because it’s big, beautiful and so well appointed,” Stephen added.

He said the home was perfect for young families or retirees who could make the most of the level block and potter in the gardens.

Each of the four bedrooms has a built-in robe and the two bathrooms have been renovated. There is a separate laundry, which has also had a make-over and is neatly tucked away.

The home features ducted gas heating and ducted evaporative cooling to ensure year-round comfort.

Stephen said the immaculately manicured backyard is ideal for kids, with a large lawn, sandpit, garden shed and private patio area.

The drive-through garage offers secure accommodation for your vehicle and boasts ample storage and a built-in workbench.

Located in a quiet street, the home is a short walk or scooter ride from the Dickson or Ainslie shops. Families can ride their bikes along the pathways, meander to the pool, or walk the dog to the popular Dickson Wetlands.

It’s just a short drive into the CBD, but this home feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

“This home is in a fantastic spot and really does have everything a family needs,” Stephen said.

“There are so many things to love about it, whether it’s the beautiful cedar windows and doors, stained glass solid timber entry door, woollen carpets or the functional layout.”
