Our experienced guide will lead you away from the house and gardens to places not usually seen by the public within the Lanyon Homestead precinct.

Learn about the farming and irrigation of the Homestead, see the homes of workers past and enjoy a delicious damper and billy tea at ‘Bluebeard’s Cottage’ on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.

You will see the southern hemisphere’s second-largest water pumping windmill up close and personal. You will learn about our scar tree, the river corridor, and our ongoing wombat wellbeing program. Enjoy views of the house and paddocks from afar. Arrive back at our in house café The Barracks, in time for lunch (not included).

This is a 3.3k walking tour that features inclines and occasional rough ground, wombat holes, and high grass. It is not suitable for children under 12 due to the terrain. Suitable closed in shoes must be worn, Bring your own reusable water bottle. Hat and sun cream recommended.
