Women who are pregnant and parenting experience higher rates of domestic and family violence, homelessness and poverty than almost any other cohort. This has impacts for women, their babies and children, our ACT community and for generations to come. But pregnancy can also be a time of hope and change.

For over 26 years, Karinya House has had the privilege of walking alongside women who are experiencing crises, before, during and after pregnancy. Providing safe housing, health
advice, case work, counselling, trauma services, baby goods and much more – we have supported over 2,500 women in Canberra since we began.

This unique charity event is inspired by 26 powerful years of resilience and strength. All funds raised will go directly to Karinya House, supporting women and their children
in the ACT region.

The luncheon theme “Home. Hope. Horizon.” highlights the significant impact Karinya House has on the women we walk alongside. Providing a safe home, working with women to ignite hope in their future and recognising the unique lived experience of each woman as she navigates new horizons.

The luncheon is an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and local and regional businesses. This year’s guest speaker is Jo Farrell, ACT Australian of the Year
2024 and ACT Woman of the Year 2024, Founder of Build Like a Girl and General Manager, Kane Constructions ACT. and listen to inspiring speakers.
