Fatal collision in Tidbinbilla last night

Police wrapA man has died after the vehicle he was driving collided with a tree on Paddys River Road, Tidbinbilla last night.

Police are investigating the single vehicle collision which left the man badly injured.

Last night he was transported by ambulance to hospital and sadly he died this morning (November 16) as a result of those injuries.

This is the sixth fatality on ACT roads this year.

Police responded to a report about the collision around 9:40 pm last night (November 15). ACT Fire & Rescue and the ACT Ambulance Service also attended the incident.

ACT Policing’s Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team will be examining the circumstances surrounding the collision and will prepare a report for the Coroner.

This is the second road fatality in the area in a year, with a man also dying in a single motorcycle accident on Tidbinbilla Road on November 6 last year.
