Fatality on the road after single-vehicle crash on Federal Highway near Goulburn

A man has died after his white van hit a tree in a single-vehicle crash on the Federal Highway this afternoon (18 May).

About 1:30 pm, emergency services were called approximately 400 metres south of Wollogorang Creek Bridge, Federal Highway, following reports of a crash.

Police reported that a white van had left the roadway and hit a tree. The male driver and the sole occupant died at the scene.

Officers from the Hume Police District have established a crime scene and commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
