The northbound lane of the Federal Highway is closed south of Goulburn due to a grass fire which the NSW Rural Fire Service says is under control. One of two southbound lanes is also closed.

“There’s a grass fire on the Federal Highway. Smoke in the area may be affecting visibility. Reduce your speed, exercise caution and drive to the conditions,” Live Traffic NSW said via Twitter.

Northbound vehicles can still access the Hume Highway via Wollorgorang Rd.

Live Traffic NSW said a semi trailer was on fire just before 11:30 am and the fire spread to nearby grassland.

The NSW Rural Fire Service is also showing that a second fire started at 12:24 pm at St Aubyn Rd in the city of Goulburn.
