Cricket fans are especially spoilt for choice in Canberra this summer with several National and International cricket events to be held at Manuka Oval. The inaugural Festival of Cricket sees the NSW Speedblitz Blues taking on Tasmania in a one-dayer and test match, and Cricket Australia’s Chairman’s XI battling India in an event that should not be missed.

The Festival of Cricket includes:

RYOBI One-Day Cup

Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th December
Bupa Sheffield Shield

Thursday 15 & Friday 16 December
Chairman’s XI v India

Monday 19 December to Wednesday 21st December
Chairman’s XI v India

And some other stuff..

You have a unique opportunity to enjoy your family or work place Christmas party at Manuka Oval with picturesque surroundings, perfect weather (we hope), and some of the world’s best cricketers on show!

Whether you have a group of two or two hundred – the team at Manuka Oval have an option to suit every budget – with catered seats starting at $59pp.

Don’t waste a minute – check it all out at www.manukaoval.com.au

The PMs XI is on in February and might be free of spot fixing.

If I were paying/paid to advertise cricket I’d mention all the dates. I also spent 15 minutes clicking around their site to find what you could get for a $59 catered seat, found nothing.

I thought it was pretty easy to find these details actually, click on festival of cricket from the front page and and then click corporate hospitality. Not particularly great value, but then considering the prices of everything else at the ground (or at least at the PMs XI last few years) perhaps it is.

Mild pedantry – the 4 day match between NSW and Tassie is not a test match…
Also, there is no mention here of the PM’s XI, that I have heard rumours is happenning early in February..

it’s a first class match. of course it’s not a test match…
