Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu show postponed

For those like me booked to see Gurrumul tonight at the Royal Theatre, I’ve just seen this on the Ticketek website. Please pass this on to anyone you know who has tickets.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances the Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu show Monday 5 September has been postponed.

Tickets for Monday 5 September performance are still valid for the new show Saturday 12 November 7:30pm, and patrons will retain their original seating allocation.

Patrons unable to attend the new performance date/time are able to receive a full refund by sending their tickets to:

Yeah, that was a bit of a bummer. My aunty saw him at the Opera House last week and said it was amazing, Peter Garrett showed up halfway through the show but shunned the spotlight since he was just trying to support and draw attention to Gurrumul. Mum and I were excited about tonight but turned up at twenty past seven to see a small and disappointed-looking crowd.

All good though, we went to see The Guard at Dendy and enjoyed it. Looking forward to the November gig.
