Hello Everyone – Happy New Year to you all!

Well, I have a Guinea Pig and I need to get him to a vet that specializes in Exotic & Small Pets. This way they treat Piggies all the time. I have noticed that most vets do the usual Dogs and Cats but I need a Vet that knows little piggies. (Yes I think little Guinea Pigs are very cute).

I don’t care where in the ACT they may be but some help in the right direction would be very much appreciated.

Thanks People!!

all creatures great and small its off tharwa drive in think i used to take my guinea pigs there and i take my dog there too they are really friendly ask for willy he seems to be the best one there (not sure if he does guinea pigs but hes great with my dog) and they are pretty cheap too

Sandy, Amanda, or Isabella from Inner South are the only vets allowed to touch my furry little friends.

We took our Rats/Chickens/Budgie to the Canberra Vet Hospital on the cnr of the Federal/Barton Highways. They seemed ok, if they didn’t know the answer they sort other vets advice.

In defence of Small Friends, we take our dog there and haven’t had any problems… unlike the previous vet she (the dog) went to.

+1 as well for Sandy Hume at Inner South. He looks after all my daughter’s birds, and she tells me he also looks after ferrets, rats, mice and other small animals.

Isn’t it cheaper to by a new one?

+1 for Sandy at Inner South. He’s done a fantastic job of looking after our Ferrets.

I took my families guinea pig to the vet in fadden yesterday.
They treat all animals and were very good in the way they treated my animal.

Do NOT go to small friends in Amaroo!!! Whatever you do. They nearly killed a friends rat and separately another friend’s ferret!
Sandy Hume at Inner South vet centre works with all exotics, including piggies.
Jan Spate in Hall works with exotics as well.
I use both (Sandy for big things, Jan for small things) and highly recommend both.

Small Friends in Amaroo come highly recommended at least for cats (but I’m sure they are just as good with all other animals) and Matt’s rapport with animals is fantastic (http://www.smallfriends.com.au/).

We’ve used the Hall vet to get one of our guinea pigs desexed (male). No probs there.
