Two firetrucks, with crews wearing oxygen masks, and haz-mat support are on-scene at a fire in Kaleen, as ACT Fire and Rescue work to secure the structure and extinguish the blaze.

Bemboka Crescent is closed to traffic as crews try to contain the fire, and people are being asked to avoid the area.

No one was at home at the time of the fire, the Emergency Services Agency has said.

Earlier in the day ACT Fire and Rescue attended a house fire on Appel Crescent in Fadden and managed to contain the blaze to the kitchen.

No injuries were reported as firefighters believe the blaze was started in an oven.
