A man will face court this morning after being charged with the stabbing murder of a 27-year-old man in Charnwood on Saturday (11 January).

The 26-year-old handed himself in to police on Saturday afternoon after an extensive search around the North Canberra region and an appeal from ACT police for the man to come forward.

The stabbed man was transported to hospital but died a short time later after paramedics arrived at the Cartwright Street residence, police said.
