Man stabbed to death in Charnwood overnight

A 27-year-old man was stabbed in a house at Charnwood at around 1:30 am this morning (11 January) and died en route to the hospital a short time later.

ACT Policing says they are looking for a 26-year-old man in relation to the incident, and believe that he is known to the deceased man.

Police do not believe this person poses any threat to the community, but believe he can assist police with their inquiries. They are urging the man to contact them immediately.

Detective Acting Superintendent of ACT Criminal Investigations Matt Craft says ACT Policing does not believe that the stabbing is drug or bikie related at this stage.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 131 444.

Investigations in relation to this incident are continuing.
