Man with kitchen knives holds up Gungahlin service station

ACT Policing is calling for witnesses to an aggravated robbery last night (9 August) at the EG (Caltex) Service Station in Gungahlin.

At about 8:30 pm, a man entered the store, approached the station workers with two large kitchen knives and demanded money.

Cash was stolen before the man fled the scene heading towards the nearby car dealerships.

The alleged offender was wearing a grey jumper, grey track pants, beige gloves, a black balaclava and red, white, and black sneakers.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or saw suspicious behaviour in Crinigan Circuit, Ginn Street or in the nearby area between 8 pm and 9 pm, or whose dash-cam captured footage in the area, is urged to come forward.

I think this crim has not tweaked to the fact that nobody pays cash for petrol these days, probably ain’t much point robbing a service station.
