The ABC has the intriguing news that Mawson and Hawker have the cheapest rents in town for two bedroom units.
Considering both suburbs also have better than average local shops it’s worth bearing in mind.
Same in Hawker – multi-storey ‘units’ [read flats to anyone over 40!] near shops.
Hawker has those flats near the shops that probably drag the price down. Im not sure I would realluy want to live there.
The wall’s always been an issue.
Other than that, there have been great rentals.
I was also going to mention The Wall.
I wouldn’t live there for quids.
The wall is going up-market though, have you not seen some of the swanky pads there of late? A two beddie there goes for around $340-$350 a week now!
Its not what we remember The Wall to be.
I dunno about Hawker, but Mawson’s average rent is skewed by the woeful Great Wall.
Tensions between cyclists and motorists have flared after another tragic death. Should these be regarded as traffic incidents, or do we need stiffer penalties for deaths and serious injuries?
