ACT Policing holds serious concerns for the welfare of 22-year-old Forrest man who went missing following Oktoberfest on Thursday evening (October 20) and whose clothes and personal effects have been found in parkland beside Lake Burley Griffin.
The 22-year-old man had been socialising with friends at the Oktoberfest at the ANU. He was last seen around 8.30pm on Thursday evening. He was reported missing to police this morning.
Early this afternoon (Saturday, October 22) the missing man’s wallet, mobile phone and shorts were found near the Commonwealth Avenue Bridge at Yarralumla.
The missing man was last seen wearing a blue-and-white long-sleeved checked shirt, light blue shorts and white thongs. He may have been riding a maroon-coloured mountain bike, which was located near his discarded belongings.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen the missing man answering to the description above, perhaps in the vicinity of Commonwealth Avenue or Yarralumla after 8.30pm on Thursday evening, to contact ACT Policing Operations on 131-444.
