Namadgi fires

The ACT Rural Fire Service is currently responding to reports of a forest fire burning in the far south west region of the Namadgi National Park.

The Bushfire Alert and Warning Level for this fire has been set at ADVICE.

The ACT Rural Fire Service has three units responding to the remote location.

The fire is located near Sentry Box Mountain.

At the current fire danger level of low-moderate fires can be easily controlled.

There is little to no risk to life and property from this fire.

The ACT Rural Fire Service has located the forest fire burning in the far south west region of the Namadgi National Park.

Additional crews will directly access the fire at first light tomorrow at the remote location.

The fire is located near Sentry Box Mountain.

At the current fire danger level of low-moderate fires can be easily controlled.

The ACT Rural Fire Service has six units on scene with a bulldozer also assisting on the containment of this fire.

The remote fire is located near Mount Ginini and is currently not threatening any property.

The fire is estimated to be 25 hectares in size and is being controlled.

The ACT Rural Fire Service has a waterbombing aircraft on scene and two additional aircraft with the Remote Area Fire Teams (RAFT) are preparing to winch into the location.
