Phillip car theft

ACT Policing is investigating a theft that occurred in Phillip yesterday (Wednesday, August 14).

Between the hours of 11.30am and 7.15pm, an offender forced entry into a vehicle in the Irving Street carpark adjacent to the Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre.

The offender stole a number of personal items as well as items belonging to the New South Wales Rural Fire Service.

These include firefighting boots, a pair of yellow firefighting pants and a jacket with ‘Stoney Creek Brigade’ stitched on it.

A second break in was also reported in the carpark on the same day.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity the carpark or may be able to assist with the investigation is urged to contact police on 131 444.
