Police have discovered “multiple sets of keys” after they arrested a man for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle in Belconnen.

Operation Toric officers saw a Toyota Hilux, which had been reported as stolen, being driven in Braddon about 11:15 am yesterday (Wednesday 30 November).

Police began to follow the vehicle, which they said they saw driving erratically and “swerving from lane to lane”.

The Hilux stopped at the intersection of Baldwin and Ginninderra Drives shortly after, and police arrested the 38-year-old male driver.

He’s been charged with drive a motor vehicle without consent, drive while disqualified and drive while under the influence of a drug.

He’s expected to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court today (Thursday, 1 December).

Police said they uncovered multiple sets of keys when they searched the Hilux, and have asked for anyone who thinks they own the keys to get in touch.
