1. Searching for Fiona Riches:
- ACT Policing and SES volunteers are continuing the search for a 46-year-old diabetic woman who went missing from her Garran house about 3pm on Monday (April 6).
Police hold grave concerns for Fiona Riches welfare given her dependency on insulin, putting her at serious risk of falling into a diabetic coma if she does not receive her medication.
Police have focused the search on Garran and surrounding areas, including Hughes, Phillip, Mount Taylor and Red Hill. The Snowy Hydro Southcare helicopter has also been used to conduct aerial sweeps of the search areas using infra-red technology.
Police have begun to distribute a poster featuring a photograph and details of the missing woman to homes and businesses in the Garran area in an attempt to gain information from the public.
Anyone who sees this woman is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444.
