Recs for an interior designer or decorator

By nazasaurus - 30 April 2011 6

After too many visits to Bunnings and Fyshwick I am thinking of asking a prof interior designer or decorator for help, but there doesnt seem to be much out there in the way of recommendations…

Our budget isnt huge and all we really want is to transform a large living area and update our kitchen which is still in good nick but slightly ugly so cosmetic changes really. The style we want is classic and even a bit spanish hacienda-ish :). Can anyone recommend a designer that perhaps charges an hourly consult fee so we can get to know their style before deciding to go ahead with more.

Thanks!

A relative of mine is a professional designer based in Sydney. She travels to Canberra fairly regularly. Her website is http://www.saltbox.com.au

I just wish I had the cash to get my house done 🙁

Guys, noticed a typo on my last comment while submitting – can you please change ‘What’ to “That”! Sorry!

What was to be my recommendation, too! She really knows her stuff, is great to deal with and doesn’t cost a fortune…
