One of the biggest days on Canberra’s live music calendar is finally upon us. Spilt Milk is back, offering up a choice selection of international, Australian and Canberra artists. That is, if you managed to get a ticket. Be sure to check out RiotACT’s Spilt Milk roundup ahead of the big day so you’re across everything need to know.

A new contemporary jazz trio, Deborrah, are making their Smith’s debut on Tuesday. Known also as the Adam Davidson Trio, these three teenage musicians will be playing alongside jazz fusion group One Seventeen Trio. If you need a warm-up, catch neo-soul outfit 30/70 as they bring their Fluid Motion album tour to Mr Wolf on Friday night.

Regular experimental/avant-garde/electronic/adventurous night commune returns to sideway this week, with Genie and Potential joining ex-Caberran Low Flung for an evening of boundary-pushing sounds.

Elsewhere, Thursday night sees Keith Potger, founding member of The Seekers, performing at Beyond Q while six bands and solo acts from the University of Canberra celebrate their year of development with a showcase at The Basement on Saturday.
