Brass Knuckle Brass Band will again attempt to fit all their members on stage at Smith’s Alternative this Saturday. The group is likely to debut new material at this hometown show. Expect an energetic mix of hip hop, funk, and a blazing horn section.
Illawarra punks Sic Parvis Magna are making the trip up from Picton Road to head up an evening of short, fast and loud music at Gang Gang on Saturday alongside Highland Light and A Commoner’s Revolt. Pub rock legends Choirboys are also in town this week, celebrating their more than 40-year career at The Basement on Thursday.
Elsewhere, local psychedelic outfit HYG is playing sideway’s band night along with One Seventeen and Dog World. Over at Canberra Theatre this weekend, celebrate 50 years of one of the most beloved albums in pop music, Carole King’s Tapestry.
