ACT Policing has released footage of a man suspected to have been involved in an aggravated robbery last Monday morning (February 6).
Around 9am a man entered the Petbarn store at the Belconnen Markets and requested to use the store’s phone, telling staff he was having difficulties with his car.
After using the store phone he informed a staff member that he was carrying a gun and demanded they give him cash.
The staff member gave him a sum of cash and he left the store.
The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his late 30s and was wearing a black Everlast T-shirt, dark parachute style tracksuit pants with a white stripe, a black baseball cap and runners.
Anyone who may have seen a man matching this description in the area of the Belconnen Markets on Monday morning is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
