RSPCA's Pets of the Week

Smiley boy Adam is bursting with energy and is ready to find his perfect match.

Meet our lovable ‘Pets of the Week’ looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

This week, say hello to the excitable and boisterous Adam, and sweet long term resident Nala.

Dog of the Week – Adam

Adam is a smart young dog eager to find a dedicated owner that is ready to take him on and teach him about the world outside of the Shelter. While he hasn’t had much life experience, he is certainly willing to learn.

Adam is extremely confident and playful and will need regular exercise and enrichment to ensure that he is both mentally and physically stimulated. Attending training classes in the future will be extremely beneficial in continuing Adam’s basic training. He is great at tricks like sit and wait, however does not have much interest in toys.

With time and patience, Adam will become the perfect family companion, ready to join you on family outings, walking, hiking or even swimming.

We recommend Adam for a family with children 10 years and older. Please remember that all interactions between children and dogs/pups should be monitored.

Nala cannot wait to find her perfect match!

Cat of the Week – Nala

Nala is the type of cat looking for someone to love her and only her for the rest of her days.

We know that Nala’s perfect companion is out there somewhere, but this impatient girl is sick of waiting.

While Nala loves playing with her human slaves at the Shelter, she is ready to settle down and enjoy a peaceful life in a loving home.

Nala has a strong personality, she knows what she wants and when she wants it. Her perfect match would ideally be a quiet human willing to allow Nala to make all the important decisions in her life.

This lovely lady has a ‘you do you’ mindset and enjoys spending time alone chasing her toys. Nala is a sucker for the laser light, she loves to pounce and spin before giving up and laying in the sunlight.

Nala needs a home with no other animals and someone with plenty of patience and love to give. If you are ready and waiting for a girl like this in your life, come and speak with the Cattery team.
