Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Bella and Rosie are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Dog of the week – Bella

Bella is a captivating young lady offering plenty of affection for people she knows. She loves to be included and will want to hang out with you, especially when out for a walk or run – Bella has plenty of energy to expend.

Having said that, she can also be quite content with some quiet time on her own if she has some yummy chews or toys to keep her mind busy.

Bella’s education is a bit lacking. She can sit but does need to learn more of the basics. She is more than capable and if you have the time and dedication to help her ‘graduate’, she will appreciate it. You will be rewarded with her fantastic smile!

Out and about, Bella has a penchant for the chase, having a particular love of chasing rabbits and other small animals. She’s best kept on a lead until she has some advanced recall training.

Rosie

What’s in a name? Rosie’s a real cutie.

Cat of the week – Rosie

A movie was released in 2018 called Rosie, about a family’s trials after becoming homeless. Our Rosie was also homeless for nearly two and a half years! Thankfully, someone found her and brought her into the shelter. Unfortunately, her previous owners could not take her back, so here she is, ready for a new family.

Rosie was initially quite nervous, hiding under her scratching post and popping her head out to say hello. Now she will greet you with a cheerful meow and saunter from the top of her post or her top shelf to receive the attention she rightfully deserves.

Rosie would describe herself as a lover of most things, unless you’re talking other animals, and will accept nothing less than all the comfy beds, the most exciting toys, and all the love you have to offer. She loves to have her cheeks rubbed, her back scratched, and her fur brushed at pretty much any time of the day. She’s all about a spa day!

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
