Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!
This week’s Pets of the Week are cool turtle Cosmo, and the full of love for life Bobby.
Turtle of the Week – Cosmo
Meet Cosmo, the coolest turtle at the RSPCA! Our dear friend Cosmo was surrendered to the Shelter as his family could no longer care for him. This handsome boy is still learning how to turtle after 17 years, so may need some help along the way.
Cosmo will require a large tank to allow for his turtle behaviour including free swimming and the ability to make diving movement (he’s a big boy and needs the space!) Cosmo needs a lovely sun spot outside of this tank (a pet crate can work wonders) so he can have some hours of sun time each week.
This charming boy will require a well-balanced diet to ensure he lives a long and healthy life with his new forever family. Turtles are renowned for their longevity and provided your pet remains healthy, may live for 30 to 75 years in your care. This point should be taken into consideration before adopting Cosmo.
If you are interested in adopting this cute and quirky boy, please come to the Shelter or call us to speak with staff. Photos and measurements of your tank must to shown to staff prior to adoption so we can ensure we find a suitable home for this big boy!
Dog of the Week – Bobby
Smiles, cuddles, lots of love. If you are looking for a pooch with all of these things then Bobby could be the boy for you. Bobby is all about living his best life and getting the maximum fun out of every opportunity presented to him. Bobby loves to go for walks with our volunteers and spend time out in the yards, frolicking and playing around.
Bobby loves to play ball, play with other dogs and would also enjoy relaxing and being the ultimate couch dog. Bobby will be the perfect dog for someone with the time and patience to teach him good manners and how to be a social friendly pooch.
Regular exercise will be a must for Bobby! He’ll need a daily walk, plenty of love and affection, and somewhere comfy to sleep. All Bobby would like in life is somebody to love. If you have the space in your home and heart, come visit him at the Shelter.
Visit us at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
