Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

George, Mowgli and Milo are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Cats of the Week – George and Mowgli

Meet George and Mowgli! These two darling boys were brought in to the RSPCA through our Inspectorate team, very scared and very frightened of people. The two boys have taken a few weeks to grow used to our shelter staff, but have blossomed into beautiful and loving boys.

George and Mowgli are inexperienced in the routine of a loving home. The boys are looking for a new family that has knowledge of timid cats and how to give them the love and space they need to come out of their shell. George and Mowgli will take their time to settle into their new home. But with lots of patience, love and tasty treats we know they will bond beautifully to their new family.

These boys will need to be indoor-only cats as that is the only life they have ever known. Due to their nature, the pair will thrive best in a home where they can be the centre of attention with no children or other pets around.

George and Mowgli are loving spending their time with our cattery staff, but cannot wait to find their new forever home.

Dog of the Week – Milo

Sweet Milo is a beautiful friendly boy who loves people and particularly likes a good tennis ball. Milo would spend his time chasing a ball all day if he could. Being a working breed dog, Milo needs a job to ensure he is kept busy and out of trouble.

Milo is looking for a loving family willing to put in the extra mile of regular daily exercise and enrichment to ensure he is kept happy and healthy. Milo has energy to spare so will best suit an active family. Milo is pretty selective about the other dogs he plays with, but with a meet and greet here at the shelter he could be open to meeting a friendly female companion.

Working breed dogs are generally loyal to a fault with boundless energy and a high working drive. Without high exercise and enrichment, they may become destructive as they find ways to entertain themselves.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
