Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for forever homes at the RSPCA ACT Shelter!

Stewart and Boo are this week’s friendly Pets of the Week! These gorgeous animals are waiting to find their perfect match. Think that could be you? Read more about them below.

Bird of the Week – Stewart

Meet Stewart the beautiful Princess Parrot! This charming boy arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for a forever home to call his own. Stewart has been very vocal here at the shelter, as most Princess Parrots are, so his new family will need to keep this in mind if he lives as an indoor bird.

Stewart is not tame and will require a large enclosure that allows for free flight after all his enrichment has been provided. Stewart would love plenty of fresh branches, seed treats and toys to ensure his little mind is kept healthy and active.

This handsome boy will do best with another Princess Parrot to keep him company. As he can live between 15 and 30 years, his new family will need to be ready to commit to the rest of his lifespan.

If you have the right housing, a lot of love and are ready to meet your new forever friend, come and speak with our team to adopt!

Boo is looking for a forever home to call her own! Could this be you?

Dog of the Week – Boo

Boo is a super friendly girl who would love nothing more than a family home where her new owners can dedicate time to continue her training. Boo would love to join a family where she can be involved in the daily lives of her humans.

Boo is lovely to handle and enjoys playing with her favourite toys. Once she gets to know you, you will find that Boo will try and sit in your lap. Boo can be strong on lead and needs managed introductions with dogs. With time and patience on introduction, Boo can be very playful. She could potentially live with a playmate of a large similar size.

Gorgeous Boo is looking for a family that has time to ensure she is walked daily and given the opportunity to stretch her long legs. Boo will best suit a family with older children and a meet and greet prior to adoption will need to be facilitated.

Visit the RSPCA at 12 Kirkpatrick St, Weston, and add a new companion to your life – you won’t regret it!
