Chief Minister Gallagher has announced progress in her long way against smokers wherever they might hide:
“As part of Floriade’s move to become a smoke-free event, signs have been installed in areas frequented by children, such as Kids Corner and Carnival Corner, requesting that patrons not smoke in this area.
“Smoking is also not permitted in enclosed spaces and at outdoor eating and drinking areas in the ACT. This applies to the marquees and dining areas throughout Floriade including Cafe Valenti and the Butterfly Lounge,” she added.
“This is a great initiative and it is even more encouraging to know that Floriade organisers are working towards making the entire event site smoke-free in the future.
